#2 Sightseeing Kawagoe
How about going for a visit Kawagoe?
Kawagoe is a town which has some tourist spots, traditional buildings.
It may take about a hour from your hotel in Tokyo by train.
There are 3 lines to get there by train.
Toubu (Tobu Tojo) line from Ikebukuro station.
JR line from Ohmiya station.
Seibu line from Shinjyuku station.
Notice : Both Toubu and JR lines’ train arrive at the same station “Kawagoe station” though, Seibu line’s train get to “Hon-kawagoe station”. These two stations are a little far apart. ( about 10 min walk )
I recommend you to take a Toubu line from Ikebukuro station.
Because it is the fastest and cheapest fare, and there is a tourist information booth in the Kawagoe station so you can get a pamphlet or a map there.
It takes about 3 or 4 hours to walk around for sightseeing.
